Hi all, as we are planning a nice long tour of Europe next year, we are planning on changing the mattress. Can any one recommend a company that we can visit and try before buying .As we have found out before that there is a big difference in comfort and support.
North England if possible.

cheers

Sorry to pinch your thread. But if any body knows where we can get a 3'6" mattress. We would be grateful.

e used Beds Direct Batley 01924 451854 as we needed a very precise size. They will make into any shape and size and offer a complete range of comfort. Really pleased with the result - did cost £363 but is 8 Inch deep and extremely comfortable.

You can park the motorhome there to pick it up if you want to as well - recommended

Mattress comfort does not come as a 'good' one suits all.
Trying the beds in many vans, we found the Burstner vans provided my wife and I with the most comfort. We recently replaced the foam in our seats and discovered there is a range of rigidity from too soft to too hard. Then we looked into the foam on beds where quite complicated sandwiches of different materials are used by the better vans. In the end we added a slim Memory foam topper to our existing bed, which made a considerable improvement in comfort

HI, I purchased a new mattress from Custom Size Beds,(all one word)The process was painless and the service was superb.Just look on the internet for their website,it shows all different sizes and shapes or mattress's and we chose what we wanted and it arrived in super fast time and fitted perfectly.
I would recommend them with no fear that you would get an inferior product. We chose a medium density foam mattress in place of the interior sprung one we had and have never slept so well all the time we have owned the MH. Regards Frank.
P.S This is their phone number ( 01634 926123 ) so you can check you have the correct website. Regards Frank.

Hi Mart.
Did you get your new mattress yet? Your mail made me buy a new one cut to size & 8 inch thick, twice the thickness of the one in the MH.
Arrived today & fitted pure luxury compared to the old one, but will need to sleep overnight to really compare the difference.

We bought ours from Carpetright yes Carpetright. It's one the best we ever had much better than our Tempur in the house. It was about 6" deep foam and top with 3" memory foam. We cu tit easily with carving knife. If I remember it was priced a about £150, but I offered £120 and they took it .
