I’ve lost count of the number of tubes of cyanoacrylate based superglues I’ve thrown away because they dry out. Wiping the nozzle with acetone, putting a pin in the nozzle have not worked for me.
I have a large plastic bottle of such glue that has been kept in the fridge and that was not supposed to dry out. So, today, when I came to glue a broken glass I was hacked off to find the glue all dry. I remembered something I’d read about putting the dried glue tube in microwave for about 5 seconds. Gave it 5 seconds and lo and behold, the glue was runny and easy to use. And it worked as superglue too.
Don’t know whether there is any down side chemically. But for the moment, it works.

That's really useful to know. We always carry a tube of superglue in the motorhome to fix all those little things that drop off. Every time we go to use it, it's dried out. The only trouble is, we're never on power to use the microwave.

I would experiment with putting the tube of glue in some really hot water and see whether that works in liquifying the glue. It may just be a temperature thing. I remember the article being clear that only a very short time in the microwave was required. Obviously if the tube is metal don’t use the microwave at all (as posters have warned).

Try rubbing it between your forefinger and thumb! Maybe not!

I've always kept my glues. in the egg tray, in the fridge (someone told me years ago) when one wants to use it, put it somewhere warm (pocket or hand) for a few minutes, and it becomes runny again, works for me!
