We are planning to increase the power options on our unit, and have been looking at inverters including this one,

Any advice would be appreciated regarding suitability make, model and features.
Intend to fit a separate battery solar system to run the inverter and to connect to the mains input using a similar relay system as used by Techno100
Cheers

Can't see a whole lot of sense in that. Apart from not impacting on your leisure battery which means managing your energy use properly.

If you add an extra battery to the leisure bank then if you use it for inverter fine but otherwise it's there for general use.

You need to give us clue what you want all that 240V for for proper advice.

We want to have sufficient power to run all the 240v appliances we carry when parked up and also to power the Dometic 2200 rooftop aircon when we are on the move, but without impacting on the existing 12v supply.
Dometic supply DC Kits which are very expensive, the main part of the kit is the inverter and my idea is to put together my own kit using the above inverter as a starting point.
