We keep our silver screens, fans and towels for drying coats off on that shelf .... too useful to lose. The sky roof gives a lovely open feeling but impractical imho.

I would like a drop down spare bed there though .... is there enough space?

I saw a Globecar Summit 640 Prime in the showroom today so l took a few pics. It seems to be competing heavily with the Adria models but IMO if you want a proper expedionary-style PVC and not a 'bling-thing' then go for a Campscout, Roadscout, Revolution or something from the D-Line range.

After our recent trips up North both Nicky and I think that this Summit 640 will struggle to stay warm in the cold and vice versa in the heat due to the huge surface area of the windows. The front storage area is poor at best when compared to any other Globecar I've seen so it's clear that the guy who designed it doesn't go camping him/herself!

The quality is not that good either and the one we saw today already had a dodgy floor and wonky windows like ours.

I like the blind in the dinette of the summit ... wonder if I could get that for the Campscout ?‍♀️. Other than that, delighted with the Campscout really sorry you’ve had problems with your Summit Andrew Blue Knight

Thanks Liz. I would have a Campscout Revolution tomorrow. The build quality is rock solid.

However, the D-Line factory is now oversubscribed and its 7,000 units/year quota sell like hotcakes. The H-line factory on the other hand is still heavily underutilized so Globecar now needs to place more emphasis on selling the Summit range in an attempt to make the range pay.

I can see why the D-Lines fly out of the doors though.

It's only a bog standard Roman (net) blind, just buy one from The Range, Ebay etc and fit it in place of the existing rail.
