Just bought a new compressor fridge for our PVC, nothing wrong with the 3 way that's in it at the moment but just prefer compressor type, is there a market for the one that's coming out?, it's too good to throw away.

Put it on Facebook market place, it's free to advertise. We sold our old threeway that way.

Definitely worth something. There are self builders on budged looking for 2nd hand used appliances. Nothing wrong with that

Thanks, its not that old, the van is late 2017, so just a few years old, works fine though
I will put it on the classifieds

Just out of interest, what is the compressor fridge that you’ve bought and why?

I have bought a dometic rcl 10.4t, not much choice really, as its a direct swap for my fridge, i want it to look factory fitted,
Why?, because i find them easier to get along with, cope better in hot temps, no leveling issues.

If you've seen the price of a new one, there's bound to be value left in an old one.

You are right on that one, cost a bloody fortune, i don't see how the cost can be justified really.
it's all in and fitted, and i am happy to say it has fitted well, looks factory fitted, wiring was easy as there are already two heavy cables there for the 3 way for 12v running, just had to alter them to make them permanent live from the leisure battery and alter the configuration of the plug end, it now just plugs in to the fridge wiring harness, capped off the gas, just need to make some covers for the external vents which are no longer needed.
If i had bought it new i would have specified a compressor fridge, it's one of the last things to do on our van to make it "ours".

Last two pictures show the door opening the other way, good idea in principle, but i am not convinced on the longevity of the hinge mechanism, but we will see.
Its quiet when running and it has settings for a quiet mode which does seem to work well.

I was thinking of upgrading to a 250w panny hit solar panel, getting an extra leisure battery and going down this route! With the night setting to reduce noise, do you just set this once then leave it (is it on a timer?) or do you have to set it every night? I’m a very light sleeper…

133 litres i think (both fridges), yes a good size for a pvc, although i am not convinced that the pvc is big enough for us.

No timer just set it as you walk past to bed, a couple of clicks and its done, it auto reverts to the previous settings after 8 hours

We downsized from a 7.8m A class, i like them but the wife prefers the size of the pvc, and while i like the physical size of the pvc, it does feel somewhat cramped, although in saying that, we (did) spend most of our time in southern europe so sat outside most of the time.
Regardless of any of the above, the pvc is easier to drive, easier to park, handles better, and will fit in places where the A class just won't.
One thing i will say is the bed in our campscout is superb, and huge.

I would be interested in you old fridge perhaps you could message me details please
