I would describe that as a good season for them personally if there’s a lot of them! I’m sort of getting the feeling you’d rather us tourists weren’t here. I don’t blame you mind. It would be my idea of hell living here.

At the show, weather great, enjoyed cycling in the forest. Sad lack if traders, most sold things that have little to do with motorhomes or caravans. OK if you want something fluffy to wrap around your doggies paws or a so called special towel but a dearth of useful stuff. I suppose not many of these traders will survive the new reality so perhaps I should be kinder to them. I went looking for a hose to extend my grey water dump, a replacement 19mm light switch, a plastic catch to hold the habitation door open and a door mounted dustbin. Found the dust bin but stood waving over my head for five minutes, no one seemed to want my money so Ieft it. I wonder if being a trader is more of a social activity where you meet up with your pals, customers are an inconvenience as it means you have to replace your stock.

Different for us, bought some hose fittings a short length of hose, work gloves, bottle opening tool, set of torx and Allen keys, plus a few other bits, it was better than I expected. Talking to some of the traders they thought it was tough but worth coming.
Agreed its not a patch on Peterborough or Lincoln but in these times I thought Appletree put on a good show and well done for not cancelling like the rest have.

Nice to see a few motorhome sellers making the effort too.

Though not buying, I like having a nose around new ones, some very nice interiors etc.

Couldn't believe someone flogging a tiny Volkswagen van conversion for £65,000! No washing facilities or toilet, who spends that kind of money on what is basically a day out van.

The seller assured me that no one uses their showers anyway..

Like you we were astonished at the prices. That’s the price of our IH roughly with all it’s bells and whistles.

I think he’s wrong about the showers being used, well I hope so as some of us have been here since Wednesday and I didn’t bring pegs for our noses!

Funny that, both Joe and I have just had our shower this morning!
