Out with the old and in with the new.

We are wanting new vinyl (or similar) and I just wondered before we look at thousands of samples, if anyone can recommend a range to narrow our search.

Want something that is durable, but looks nice - don't want to have to go through the replacement exercise time and time again.....

Hi Sharon

Link Removed is probably the best quality vinyl floor covering available.

Its not the cheapest out there but they have a cracking range and their "wood flooring" is excellent, you can barely tell it from the real thing....... I am sure your local flooring specialist would have a sizeable offcut which would suit your needs

Hi Linda

Unless Amtico has changed, there is no such thing as offcuts - they are glued in patterns on the floor. A wonderful flooring, but would be an arm and a leg job in the RV.

Shows you what I know  ......my Nan had it in her kitchen and it was fabulous stuff, lasted longer than anything else she'd had down before.

You could always go for the shag pile look.......its back in vogue in the States right now :roflmto:

Hi sharon I can endorse what tonys says, we had Rhino floor in our kitchen showroom (20 years ago) and it was really hard wearing, even high heels didn't effect it.

I would have a look at Karndean. I think its a fab product and so easy to lay in plank form with adhesive. ::bigsmile:

Well our flooring has now been replaced with cushion flooring and I have to say how pleased I am with the service we have received from the following company:

Welcome To Complete Flooring Services

Based in Northampton 01604 495474

Have you done away with all your carpeting? because with our hounds been thinking about it for a while (our last 2 caravans had removable carpet and never went down as like the non carpeted flooring:thumb:)

How long did they take?

If so would you give me an idea of the price please? PM if you prefer:winky:

Hi John

You can take a look at it at Stratford and see what you think. We still have carpet fore and aft, that will be replaced with another carpet - but this cushion flooring is nice, and obviously easy to keep clean.

It took a day and a bit to complete, but it is a first class job.

the vinyl floring in our last kontiki was looking a little shabby so we bought some sticky back parqee style vinyl tiles from B+Q, gave the old floor a good clean and just stuck 'em down. probably added a fair bit of weight but they looked the dogs do-da's:thumb:
