Whilst wondering what spec my PVC will get (on order for 2022) which I am told will be on a new model of Fiat base vehicle and new Adria spec, I came across this….

Not sure what will make it into a UK spec model and what this will mean for available options from Adria; but sounds interesting 🤔

Motorhome/campervan builders normally have quite a big stock of base vehicles, so it's not uncommon for changes to the van chassis to not appear in complete motorhomes for many months. Mine was registered mid 2020, but the chassis doesn't have the adblue Euro6d engine.

But with the supply chain issues these past 18 months... who knows?!?

Not going to - Nothing is sure until it is on the drive.

And I know it said in Italy, but talking to a dealer they are seeing the new vehicles this month and should then know the prices and options available; so you never know it maybe for the UK as well :giggle:

Thanks Phil89a for finding & posting this. I too am awaiting a new Adria Twin 640 SLB Supreme. I think it will be very interesting to see what the new base vehicle price will be and what the van option packages will now include & their prices. The figures go to the dealers very soon & should be available to all by the end of July Adria tell me. They also said no changes to the MH side of the van. I have a fancy all electric components car, fist change for 10 years so all came as a big shock in 2019 & took a lot of time getting used to it, especially since we spent 5 months a year in the van doing more miles than in the car. I was hoping the new van did not have keyless entry, start or handbrake, but it looks like it will have all for sure now. Who knows how after market MH alarms will integrate with the keyless aspect & their remote fobs, such as locking all doors & night/pet setting. Whatever comes it will be exciting times for sure, I’ve never owned an automatic but understand this new one is fantastic. I understand from my dealer that there is a new van in Grimsby at a dealers some months ago but it was under wraps & only available to Fiat dealers to view. I will definitely like the new full LED headlights like in my car.

From what I have been told by Adria is that there is going to be a new 600 Sport with pop-up roof option and different upholstery options; other than that minimal changes. Obviously the “add-on packs” will change as some things they had are going to now be standard; for example the upgrade to 7” screen is likely to now be an upgrade to 10”

But we will find out more at the end of the month hopefully.

I wonder if the 2022 Ducato will have a new more resilient airbag ECU that doesn't go inop when the cab battery voltage drops a bit ... nothing in the press release about that.

Neither of the 2 press releases linked above even mentions airbags. I'm assuming that there is still only going to be one driver's airbag, and the passenger airbag remains optional. No improvement regarding passive safety. I would expect something better. My car has 10 airbags.

If you wanted to improve safety with a motorhome, you'd probably be better providing an airbag that inflates behind the seats to catch the furniture, cutlery and accoutrements that would inevitably fly into the front on impact. ::bigsmile:

Adria released their new 22 model prices to the dealers this week. Has anyone had any updates from their dealers yet re the price increase. Mine is wanting to speak with Adria before talking to me. Is this me being ominous or just me desperate to know

Nothing yet. My dealer said he was seeing the new vans today and expected prices and options at the same time. Maybe hear something from him later this week.

I have been working on an assumed 7% increase

Seems 7% was a wee bit high. Just had the pricing and overall it seems about 5% increase, but it is hard to judge exactly as some cost options are now included in the van‘s base price. But overall it works for me 😄

I wonder if they have cured the existing gremlins or just made them prettier and more tech to go wrong.

Basically all the options are the same, just mixed around and called different things. For example Pack 2 is no more, becoming the GB Inclusive Pack which is now standard. 2.2l engines down from 2.3l

I heard rumours months ago that they were moving over to the 2.2 litre Peugeot/Citroen engine and retiring the Iveco 2.3. Remember that Fiat, Peugeot and Citroen are all now owned by Stellantis, so it is possible. But I thought the press releases since had said it was 2.3? All the engine power outputs have remained the same as the 2.3, but I guess the 2.2 can achieve the same with whatever tunes they want anyway?

Definitely 2.2 as it is detailed on my order specifications sheet. But which make of engine, no idea 😀

I'm not sure either way. The 2.3 engine is actually 2.286 litres, so someone might call it a 2.2?

I heard the 2022 vans were going to be the 2.2 litre PSA engine, but then the marketing material calls it Multijet, which I thought was Fiat/Iveco tech... maybe it's just a label now...?

Yes my new spec says the engine is a 2.2 140 bhp when it said 2.3 140 bhp before so I’ve asked the question is it a different engine. Very pleased overall as I’m getting a better standard spec with an overall price rise of 3.55%, so less than I was anticipating. The dealer thinks Adria have likely absorbed some of the increases, so well done Adria. Looks like I’ve got electric parking brake but no mention of keyless entry & start so fingers crossed I don’t have that. Hopefully I can get a brochure soon

From what I understand, Adria are still updating the spec sheets with the changes, so things may still get added. I‘m hoping for the LED headlights and the digital rear view mirror 😀

My spec sheet says Black headlights? Whatever they are but no mention anywhere of front fog lights but I thought Fiat were making them standard. I’ve got wireless phone charging tray!

Black headlights won’t be much good in the dark me thinks 😂

I am sure I was told front fogs were standard. May have to wait until the van arrives; even the brochure sometimes gets it wrong; for example in the current brochure it says “parking sensors” but in the UK these aren’t even an option ☹️

How does the PSA compare to the Iveco?

The PSA 's a fair bit more noisy than the VW 2.0.

But better tbh with a tune up.

Cheers James
