After plenty of reading decided gonna ditch my current PWM controller in favour of a MPPT one.
Narrowed it down to 2
Victron Energy Smart Solar 75/15
Voltronic MPP 165 Dual

Which one is better?

I have just bought the Votronic mppt 350 because I want to trickle charge the vehicle battery as well. You cannot do that with the a Victron.

As above 👆👍 we can now use the cab radio without discharging the starter battery.

The Votronic gives you the option of connecting up an AES fridge so that it will run on solar. Only having 165W may make that less relevant.

With the Victron your can view and adjust many parameters of the solar controller via the Victron Connect app, or you could do the same if you hook it up to a Victron MPPT Control, or just leave it to get on with what it does best. (y)

Both good I have a Votronic and make use of the AES output to the fridge but a 2008 van won't have the AES input on the fridge. It can still be done but probably not worth it with less than 300 watts of solar.
