Never gave it a thought that my current 2 bags would not accommodate thew new lappy:Doh:

They seem to range from £15 to £££ for a 17 inch one:Doh::cry::cry::cry:

Rip off me thinks when you compare them to suitcases.

Hi John

17" Screens are far easier broken than smaller ones, as I found out to my cost, I broke the screen on my 17" Mac Powerbook :Doh:and it cost £400 to replace.. :whatthe:
I kid you not.. and it was in a soft case when it happened in the boot of the car..

After the repair I invested in an aluminium case called A Mac Truck, not cheap but a lot cheaper than a new screen..

Aluminium alloy shell that's rugged enough to drive a truck over!

Tough, Hard Aluminum Laptop Case for Apple MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, MacBook & PowerBook - Protect your Apple Notebook with MacTruck

That is for a Mac, you may find something similar and cheaper for the HP

ALDI had some last thursday for £12.49. 4 different styles. I bought 2 backpack style which seem to have good padding and offer reasonable protection
