The much needed Camperstop for Mazarron, Murcia is open for business.....some work is continuing to complete this much needed stopover....Mazarron remains popular for winter visitors...the climate, coastline and mountains are a big draw for motorhoming....well it's now here.....the gap is filled....
Great for biking and walking, shops and restaurants nearby....the coastline needs no introduction.....
The need to wildcamp behind Lidl is no longer needed....this place has the needs for all together with the security and services...
Check it out on Park4 night...some great photos and it's location are all there...no need to follow up on this.....Well done Mazarron, another great Camperstop in the making....

You wouldn’t be able to walk into the Port or Town from Camperstop Mazarron either, it’s a fabulous stop with extremely large pitches along with EHU and water on each and the Service point has 6 Drop points and the same for Cassettes.
The downside is you need a form of transport and walking isn’t good.

It’s behind the BP station as you approach Mazarron about 3km from Lidl.

Have done a few times but we usually cycle everyday into the port.BUSBY.

Nice place, as you know Isla Plana is in Cartagena Municipality....it's Mazarron that needed a camperstop...
Why should a pool be a requisite of a Camperstop.....
Because when it's hot I like a swim,,not a requisite but a bonus,,BUSBY.

It's a few miles further out and a tad rustic but everything is here even a van wash.

Whilst not a camper stop there is a great camp site near to CampaSol just 10 K from Mazarron called Rancho Buena Vista. We spent 2 months there in 2019. Massive pitches Fully serviced 10Euros per night. Run by a German guy name of Mike and family. No Bar 1 Toilet & Shower Spotlessly clean, fantastic views loved it will be going back next year.

Yes Michael is a bit abrupt probably due to the language barrier, however after we got to know him he was fine. On the third day of our stay he appeared at our door with a basket of eggs which he offered to us completely free, from his hens that roam freely on the site.
His wife who again spoke little English was very nice and their little daughter Eva was a delight.
He and his friend that spoke very good English introduced us to a very good Indian restaurant in Mazarron and Mikes recommendation on Spanish wines was very appreciated.
As I say don't judge a book by its cover, go and experience this truly rustic site for yourself. All I know that our friends joined us there and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The husband spent most days watching Mike and his friend flying model planes.
Search the web for Rancho Buena Vista.ES don't forget the .ES or you will find places in the US.
Looking forward to our next visit.

Thanks.
We only live a few minutes drive away from there and it would be handy to recommend to friends but we've never done so because of the reviews.

When I'm back out and about (can't cross borders atm) I may go and have a look.

Ditto. Spent a couple of winters there before we found a site near Aguilas.
Micheal is OK once you get on his right side. Even took me in his car to Alhama to pick up parts for my push bike.
Dont bother with "can you speak English", you'll have no chance!::bigsmile: Try a bit of Spanish or German and he'll warm to you. Doesn't take prisoners at all. Superb spot if you dislike towns/cities and love the outdoors. Superb cycling both on and off road. Very handy having the shops/bars of Campsol on the doorstep (1/2 hour walk / 10-15 mins on the bike). Fuel is cheap at Consum.
Only slight downside, and it is slight, is that some of the German regulars can be very cliquey but, having said that, others were very friendly.
Will definitely go back some time.
