Hello, Just bought Swift Kontiki 650. Just retired and time to start touring instead of parking the caravan. Done that for 20 years. Wanted Autotrail 635 but noticed Kontiki was same layout (almost). Bought it, got it home and realised Kontiki is not only 4 ft longer but is Private HGV. Still goes on drive, JUST. Had red light come on when over 2800rpm in 3rd and 4th on inaugaral trip to Cornwall. Luckily son has garage and Diagnostic machine read P0235 Turbo Boost problem. Turned out to be seized wastegate actuator. Unlike cars, laid on back and crawled underneath and freed it.
(Too tall for building) Now got into the habit of collecting fresh water whenever it's on tap! Also, go shopping early or late as UK supermarkets think we all drive Corsas and parking is bit tight!

Hi and welcome to Fun
Phgv is cheaper to tax so dont worry about that, only thing to watch is that you retain your full licence 7500kg entitlement when the time comes due (age 70) or you will have to change the motorhome for one under 3500kg.
Hope you have many happy travels in your new home on wheels

Congratulations on your purchase, I'm sure you will enjoy the Kontiki.
Yes, that model is long but a very nice drive. The local supermarket will probably take the height restriction down if you tell them you are a gypsy and are bringing a few dozen friends. Discrimination and all that .....
