Cracking new aire opened in Calpe just across from Aldi ,has been done to a high standard with good size pitches. My only criticism is that many of the pitches have a slight slope ,so levelling blocks are needed . The rates are €23 and €27 depending on pitch size with an introductory offer of up to 45% if staying longer than a week.

Looks very nice, but looks like a campsite and definately campsite prices.
They call it a Camping and Caravanning resort but all the pitches are gravel,we are paying €13.50 for a large pitch. Apparently the rate goes down if staying long term.

That's a better price.
Plenty of facilities. Think we were paying €12 for Mediterraneo in Calpe a couple of years ago

We were at the sister site a bit nearer to the town, a variety of pitch sizes, but there was a construction site opposite with pile driving in progress. This one was still being completed and both have excellent facilities although some of the streets were difficult to negotiate with signs and lampposts in stupid positions. They were correcting that. Would stay there again.

That's why we went to this one, away from the building work and much quieter.

How much! It does look nice but what bugs me about these places is the fact if you want just to stop somewhere for a couple of days then move on you really are hit hard. Great for long stays, but then they get so full you have a job trying to stay short time.

I couldn’t agree more but in the case of this particular Camper Stop and this is the name it is designated it has got the balance right, it’s large with a selection of pitch sizes but all are a good size plus they are Fully Serviced , EGU,Fresh Water,Waste Disposal and the place is very secure high fencing that is being hidden with Cypress trees and with additional security staff. The other highlights are a Pool.Bar,Washing Machine area etc etc. As a Camper Stop this one is at the Top.

We paid €18 per night in Sept for a Large Pitch and only stayed a Couple of nights, I think this was value for what they offer and it just goes beyond a price that those whom clog these Stops up for Months won’t pay. Result.

Co-ordinates for Boreal are on my last photo,Calpe isn't exactly large and all these sites are easily found. Maybe you haven't done much travelling in 8 years and 10 posts. o_O

Surprised you stayed on such an expensive site. Thought you were into low-cost and free camping, at least that was the impression I gained in Alvor and Porto Covo!!!!!. My point was that although the company has a smart looking website they have omitted to give decent info on how to find them. Not that I need them to do that as I know exactly where they both are.

Ha Ha, Mrs bigtree got her company pension in April so can afford to splash the cash now. Concorde has been ordered.

They don’t take Caravans and it’s laid out to accept Campers/Motorhomes and very much operated as such so in my opinion it’s a Camper Stop,it’s certainly not a resort.

We stayed there 16-18 September so you need to get your facts right since you are being so pedantic about anyone adding to this Topic.

Good info, but I wonder why you choose this over say, an ACSI site? Maybe they are all full up in the area.
Phil
The ACSI site is Calpe Mar which is even dearer as we would need a large pitch @ circa €23,besides we have been staying at this end of town for 6 years and prefer along here. Calpe Mar is quite tight and probably full anyway.

That's the ACSI one we stayed at when we were in Calpe a couple of years ago. It seems no better as far as amenities and size of pitch than this new one that is supposed to be an Aire.

Calpe Mar has a larger pool and is closer to town but is also prone to noise from the roads and the builders merchant across from it,plus new building work going on nearby.
