Still trucking and learning
Before setting off in the van I always wrap the grill pan and handle in a tea towel to stop the rattling - sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't depending on size of tea towel and how bumpy the journey is.
Have just read a brilliant (and cheap!) 'Top Tip' in this months MMM mag.

To stop your grill pan, oven shelves and anything else rattling when on the move in the van get a laptop neoprene cover to store the offending items in.

Just ordered a couple of these from ebay - £2.99 each with free delivery.

Good idea. Wasn't it a Funster who got the top tip this month?

A roll (or two) of anti-slip matting from the pound shop works for me. Plates, pots, pans, grill pan, oven door, rattly glass basin top, everything gets a bit. PLUS, anything that slides gets the same treatment. Wonderful stuff.

Alternatively, if you need a wetsuit, buy one with detachable sleeves.

Slightly off post-but related,we have 4 overhead kitchen lockers which contain 'rattly' things-before closing them we pad them out with our bath towels :) of which we carry 4,hence killing 2 birds with one stone.
