We are also very lucky. Although it is their holiday home next door they will do absolutely anything for us. A sentiment that is, of course, reciprocated. We even holiday together in our Motorhomes. (y)
I recently damaged the roof of our MoHo and our neighbour insisted on repairing it for us saving a large repair bill.

Our Neighbour has been an absolute A*****le, , the worst Neighbour we have ever had, won't go into details, but!

Thank what ever superior being you recognize ! that he has been sectioned and is in secure accommodation !

What ever befalls that man he deserves! I sincerely hope he dies a slow and painful death, and if there is such a place! Burns in Hell!

We have some brill neighbours, we holiday with them sometimes. The others are good - but we have a young couple next door who moved up from down south in Feb.

He's ok and pleasant enough, but I've not even seen her properly and she works from home and we are both at home all day:Eeek:

I know it's a cliche but good neighbours are really worth their weight in gold:)

My nearest neighbours are all ok but we don't socialise with them but we talk if we meet outside and take in parcels and move wheelie bins etc., I've closer friends who live 5 minutes away who would collect me from station if asked but I tend not to ask for favours but thats just me. :)

Neighbours are lovely, especially the couple who live closest. When I got admitted to hospital few weeks ago, I had time to give neighbour a key and then phoned her later--she let the dogs out, kept the cat in, then let dogs out next day and fed them. She'd even put my bin and recycling boxes out-- and this lady is over 70. Her husband has a form of dementia and Parkinson's ( early stage at moment)
Luckily sent home next day.

On and off for many years.
Our neighbours are mostly great. The lady next door is very nosey and likes to know eveyones' business. Her husband is rather odd and not much liked locally but we've never had any real problems with him.

He came round yesterday morning to ask where he should put oil in his car as the level was a bit low according to the dipstick. There was an awful smell of diesel when the bonnet was opened - and signs of a leak under the car. He'd filled up with fuel on Friday and only driven home so the tank should have been full - it was empty. Hubby towed him to the local garage and they found a rodent had chewed through the fuel line and one of the brake lines. A very lucky man as if he hadn't checked his oil and realised he didn't know where to top it up .....

I think he has a good neighbour.

Our neighbours are very good. The layout of the roads means that we live in a group of about a dozen houses just slightly apart from the rest of the estate. We don't live in each other's pockets but get on well and know we can rely on each other if necessary.

One of my neighbours is 92 and his wife is 94. Both still very active and a great couple. They grow all there own veg and there front garden puts Chelsea flower show to shame, during the summer they are always away on coach trips.
The other neighbour is a southern railway line so we only see them in passing.

On and off for many years.
The people who lived to the west of us were great. They moved out nearly a year ago (although we've met up for a gossip a few times) and we got new people 10 months ago. I left them a welcome card with our names, phone numbers and other local information but have never seen nor spoken with them. I have heard them in the garden a couple of times and Martin has said "Hello" but that's it. I suppose they are good neighbours! Not a problem anyway.
