It's a toss up between a Smev or a Thetford Mk 3 for fitting in an existing aperture, can I have your thoughts please good or bad. Thank you.

Long time
We have a Smev in our Hymer, good oven and grill works fine, done toast, chops, etc. Oven good enough for most oven type cooking and will get really hot on highest temp, but see next paragraph!
Ours doesn't have a temp gauge, maybe more recent ones do? So bought an oven thermometer to hang on shelf, not tested it yet.

We have the Thetford full size cooker and it's been very good, last week Pat made a large meat and potatoe pie put it in the oven at home and bang electrics tripped as the element blew.
So I said not to worry carried the pie out side to our motorhome and cooked it in the Thetford oven to perfection.

We have a Smev in ours and are more than happy with the oven, Clive and Anna introduced us to those Maggi so juicy kits years ago and now we just buy the oven bags and knock up our own concoctions. The grill is no great shakes though, you can make toast but it takes a while.
