Hmmm , well lets get this clear huh . Is it a 1980 , or year 2000 ? . An 1980 is series one , and almost certainly a 2.5 , whereas a 2000 , is a series two , and though could be a 2.5 , it's more likely a 2.8 .

2.8 engines were never fitted to series one's , where both were fitted to a 2000 . I ask this question because , a 2.5 should be a straight forward swap , where a 2.8 may require modification . Just to add to the confusion the picture you have supplied does appear to be a 2.8 , but the van , is certainly an earlier series one . The 2.5 is very similar to the 2.8 , in fact the 2.8 is basically a factory modified 2.5 . I have to admit , i'm not totally familiar with the 2.5 , but i am with the 2.8 , owning one myself . Your picture also throws up this question , but it may be the van has already , been converted .
