need 12v to 18v dc/dc converter? (1 Viewer)

hi all , my power supply for my new modem is 18v instead of 12v so i need to source a dc/dc converter to power it while in the van. i dont want to go down the inverter route. anyone got any ideas where i could buy one? all the best sean

Go on to e-bay,

In search box enter:

12 dc charger for (enter details of the unit including model)

You should find a load to choose from, and not expensive. May have a cigar plug on but that can be changed if necessary

thanks for the reply but its not a 12v charger i am looking for , its a converter to step 12v dc up to 18v dc. cheers sean

thanks olley , thats the gizmo but not at that price. i bought a similar item in spain a few years back for about €20.

many many years! since I was a kid
Maplin did a switchable voltage supply with various tips to suit different items. not seen it for a while but you should be able to source one around £20

I bought a 12v convertor for my lappy from maplins which I'm sure would work for your router. Cig lighter input and multi interchangeable outputs
