Who attended the NEC show this year? Did you think it was busy? We were there on the opening day and to be honest...it was deserted...this article appears to be more fiction than fact...what's your thoughts?

We used to get this hype when we had the Discount shed. Exhibitors would say what a fantastic show they had and deals only available then. So! we ordered nothing went home and had bets with each other as to how long it would be before they came begging, usually 10 days.

We live in a hyped up world where truth and honesty is hard to find.

It seemed pretty quiet to us.

I think it was the quietest (but, because of that, most enjoyable) one I've ever been to.
I was not surprised to hear the spin about how busy it was, though.
Maybe the day-trippers/tyre-kickers stayed away to give the real spenders a bit of space. If so, it may have remained a profitable occasion for some traders.

yep we were there 2days and it was much quieter than usual,which was fine for us,just means that you can have a good look around without being pushed and shoved.we went down to get an inflatable awning and we did get one ,a Kampa,and also placed an order for something that definately wasnt planned.Anyway we really enjoy the NEC and will continue to visit.

We went on the Saturday ( normally go in the week) and we thought it was busy, but put it down to it being the weekend.

We will revert to going in the week, more time to view and talk.

We went on first two days and definitely quieter than we have ever seen . Even some traders said so.

This year was the first time we gave the NEC a miss. Could not think of a strong enough reason to go that would justify using nearly half a tank of diesel, and paying for 2 entrance tickets and over-priced food. It's getting to be an expensive day out with the added joy (not) of motorway traffic jams.

I enjoy MH tyre-kicking and raising awkward questions on the stands, in case you had any doubts.

Raising any kind of question can challenge some of the people on stands. It seems they're only there to sell, rather than inform. There's little point in raising issues with them, they're just not interested.

We went for the first time and went on the Saturday, it was a breeze in the morning and we had plenty of time to chat to all the different sales people, but getting out of the halls again got a bit like a bunfight over by the trade stalls!

We had a nice day out, helped by our son doing the dog-sitting, and we'll go again next year
