I have the Nationwide Flexplus bank account mainly for the breakdown cover and travel insurance which at £13 a month seems okay although I’ve never tested either out. last January I paid the extra £65 for being over 70 and also around £80 to cover both our medical conditions. I also paid £127 for 90 days trip extension which I thought would just cover us for the trip to Spain we did from January to March. The renewal date of January 14 occurs when we are away so today I renewed the policy and according to the person I spoke to the 90 day trip extension is for the full year so I could have more than 1 trip in the year and still be covered. If this is correct, and I have no reason to doubt that it is not then it makes the cost quite reasonable over the year.
Has anyone used a trip extension for Nationwide more than once in their financial year.

Not me personally but my mate uses NW and covers him for multiple trips, we have the same with Lloyds bank, pay for the extension and can make as many trips as we like.

Just renewed our NW insurance 90 day cover and extra medical, the 90 day extension last for the 12 months of your policy not just the one trip
we going back over to Spain 16 January for our next 90 days 👍

We have just renewed our insurance with NW, 127 days in any one trip with all age and medical issues included £314, I think this is quite good.

Hi, we are in the process of joining NW with the view to using the recovery while we drive to Spain.
Rather than start a new thread I am trying to find out if there is an age limit on a vehicle as our elddis autostratus is 22yo?

There is no vehicle age limit on Flex Plus breakdown cover either in UK or Europe.
( Ours is nearly 31 years old)

Thank you, I was thinking that was the case but I couldn't find anything specific on the NW site.

Don’t forget to check whether having a return ticket is required as a condition of the insurance. It is for a similar policy with Barclays.

You don't need a return ticket to remain covered.

I did a 6 month extension last year and it runs for 12 months and I checked with them that you could do multiple trips but obviously none longer than 6 months 👍

Are you referring to breakdown insurance?
I can't find any mention in their small print( since AA took over) about a 6 month limit.

One of our favourite places for a few days stopover, the road by the sea between Milnthorpe and Arnside 👍
