Don't you just hate it when you do a job and have a bit left over? Imagine how I feel, I was only hoovering it a bit before it's MOT next week!

So I found this bit lying on the floor afterwards. It looks like some sort of trim retaining thing, maybe from the roof or the doors at the front. It was found on the floor, in the center just behind the drivers seat.

Any body recognise it? It seems a shade or two lighter than the Globecar fittings, but maybe it's led a sheltered life ...

(I know what the 20p piece is, before anyone says)!

It’s basically a removable screw if you like that you can pop out with a flat bladed tool like a knife or perhaps a wood chisel. It will be to hold a bit of trim or panel, something that’s not load bearing. 👍

I recognise that! In our van, its the plug which goes into the end of the table rail on either the wall in the front dinette, or the outside of the kitchen unit across the sliding door, so that the table can be used outside.

Ours was forever falling out as I need to push the drivers seat back as far as it goes (meaning it hits and pushes the table whilst we're driving along) so finally after losing it several times and having to poke around to find it, I just glued it in place.

Yes, I think it is a plug or trim type thing to cover a screw hole or similar.

I would put it away somewhere safe until I found out where it was from and then not be able to find it again as it was out in such a safe place!

I have a table level bar and a bed level bar (no outside table), but we have a winner - 100% correct! No idea how it got knocked off with the hoover, maybe I just disturbed it's slumber. Thanks for putting that one to bed for me 😉👍

I know that feeling well! Over 2 months ago I found a seal on the floor, round and white about 4cm diameter, knew I must be off something so kept it safe for future retrieval when I identified what it was missing from. Now I know it's from the drinking bottle I had washed up at the time but of course can't remember where I put the ruddy seal!
