Anyone any idea what this is...just bought the MH and it has an integrated pull out scooter rack AND a bike rack...can’t use them both at the same time but just wondered if anyone knew what this bar is that is screwed to the back of the van....is it something to do with the pull out scooter rack. Hopefully someone will say “oh yes that is used to hold back the scooter from the back of the MH....you just need part number 1345458fgdyute and this slides into the bar and holds the scooter away from the MH ?

Looks like a bar that is usually fitted with adjustable anchor rings. We have 2 similar in the van garage. They probably used it to help secure the bike or to use the rings to run an alarm wire through.

Hi Allan...yes it does look like that doesn’t it, I’ve got one in the garage as well... can’t see that it can be much use in securing the scooter though but yes perhaps just an alarm wire....seems odd to do all that just for an alarm wire....just wondering how to get some arm on to distance the scooter from the van....thought this might have been the solution...thinking of putting the scooter on the back instead of in the garage to give me more space in the garage...all dependent on rear axle weights of course as I’m sure someone will say ?

So after sorting out lots of stuff I am finally off to pick up a scooter today. I’m thinking of putting on the pull out scooter rack instead of in the garage....still can’t work out how I am going to stop it from lateral movement...there is that ring bolt slot on the back of the van and I’ve got spare ring bolts but they won’t stop the scooter from sideways movement....need some sort of arm holds the scooter away from the van...Googled everything and can’t find anything....☹️

Try Alko Sawiko. I have their scooter and bike rack, which uses lateral bars attached to a transverse frame; they may or may not fit, but you can buy a locking ‘handle’ for them.
