As a matter of interest do electric bikes have the ability to re charge the battery either when pedalling or when braking (BMW style) ?

Was reading about this recently and most makers seem to have given up on the idea. Seem to be a lot of problems with cranks these type of systems.

Not old enough for E Bike yet,,,still enjoy the exercise and its good for my arthritis and new knee. BUSBY...
