After changing the battery in my imobiliser key fob, it now only shows a blue light. I have tried to follow the workshop manual but get lost. When we bought the van, the handover warned us not to experiment with the device that connects to the two pin thingy, sticking out of the dash which looks as if it is a reset solution. I do not wish to lose the security locks my van keys give. Checking other people here in the search area, I am not alone but did not find a sollution. Any help appreciated.

I have a Gemini alarm and the two pin socket is for disabling the internal sensors so that you can arm it while inside.

Thank you Steve. When we bought the van, this single item was not fully explained other than being told generally not to use it. At the moment my Gemini key fob, after changing the battery, only shows a blue light and does not control anything on the van. I know I am thick, but reading the manual only confused me more. If I use the two contacts with the little black device, will it affect the other keys? Will I end up without the ability to lock the van remotely?

Mine is operated through the vehicle fob. When I want to arm it from the inside I hold the two pin plug in the socket until the red light comes on then press lock on the key fob. I can't see any reference to an 840 on the website. Mine is a 931TMH

Thank you. 840 is the number on the back of the module

Slightly confused what the problem is here, as the grey Gemini alarm fob (on mine and I have read it is the case) doesnt lock the van, it only operates the alarm. The blue light (on the fob) lights when you activate the arm or disarm buttons. The original Fiat key fob locks the van (setting the alarm in the process).

I have a 931tmh.

Is the red led light on steady on the dash next to the two pin receptacle?
