Is there not a release button in the arm, or perhaps pushing it up slightly further to let it back down again?

There will , hopefully, be some one along soon who can give more accurate advice.:thumb:
    Hope you sort it.

    Steve.

Does it have a roller adjuster under the arm at the front? If so you might try adjusting it. We had them on our B564 1994 Model, but seats may be different on later.

On ours there is a knurled knob at the end of the arm nearest the seat back where it pivots, which does not look like it does anything. However, by screwing it in or out, the arm is released again to go back down.

just re-read the OP and it appears to me to be the hab area chair at fault, not the drivers seat.

We have a Hymer B584 and the inside arm rest on the rear captains seat is stuck in the vertical position

    could be wrong !
