You don't have to live in the South West to own a Murvi, we know one owner who lives in Scotland and several from Northern England, so wherever you live a Murvi is something to consider when looking for a PVC.
There are several major PVC converters, Autosleeper and IH for example, who generally sell their vehicles through dealers. Murvi are a much smaller company who sell directly to their customers. This means when you visit them you meet the people who actually made the vehicle so their knowledge of them is second to none.
Layout, as everyone knows, is one of the critical factors in deciding whether a particular MH is going to suit you. For us, we were converted to Murvi by the simple act of getting in one, sitting on the big sofa seat and looking out through the open side door. This is the Murvi experience, unlike almost every other van conversion on the market there is no lump of kitchen obstructing the side door entrance, it is completely uninterrupted. This gives you the impression of sitting on a veranda looking out onto the World.
The washroom is big enough for a shower, without feeling cramped and the kitchen is one of the most spacious you can get at any price level.
We have had our Morocco for four years now, having bought it new. We have had only a few very minor issues, but these have been confined to installed equipment - the on-board lpg tank decided for a week in Spain it didn't want to be filled (this cleared itself and we have had no reoccurrence) and the 'fridge was a bit temperamental for a while. The bits Murvi built have performed faultlessly with nothing working loose or falling off.
Nothing is perfect of course. It isn't a vehicle for winter skiing trips, the waste tank is under the floor, which is itself uninsulated though the rest of the vehicle is well insulated and stays cool in hot weather if the blinds are drawn.
There is a very active owners' club who organise well attended rallies around the country and occasionally in Europe. Murvi owners get about a lot too, recent trips have included three vehicles going to Iceland and one to the Canary Islands.
Murvi make several models, all described on their website. www.murvi.co.uk
