I had a great time when a group of teachers from all parts of France invaded (their words) the Aire I was staying on. Shared food and drinks from the region they came from for two nights.

Not at all unusual and normally on only a huge aire where there is plenty of room for everyone . Normally a motorhome club get together and usually invite anyone on the aire to join them !
Remember their country and they would not be at all put out should something similar happen visiting the U.K. with a U.K. club .
