I'm off to see the Zurich insurance guy on Friday to discuss combining the MH (to be) and car (existing) on to a single insurance.
The premium is based on the higher of the two and the other is essentially free. This is because the number plate here is linked to the insurance which is why there are almost no uninsured drivers (yes, Italians, I'm looking at you). You can only have one vehicle at a time on the road. You swap the number plate from one vehicle to the other when you want to use it.
The road tax is a little different but is also linked to the number plate, you pay the highest of the two and a % of the lowest.
Anywhere else where this is possible? I know the Uk has multi-car policies but can you add a MH?
