Love to see the inside and have a look around, I bet it’s solid inside. We are parked for the night on the Champagne Nowack aire near Reims and I'm sat outside with my glass of champagne looking at a Dutch van, a German van, a Belgian van and a Swiss van. Including this one which I'm sure I've seen on here before. Everyone is being very sociable

That is a great place to stay. It was both a French Passion with spaces inc EHU for free at the front and a little campsite at the back, I do remember the bathrooms for the French Passion users were amazing. We are parked for the night on the Champagne Nowack aire near Reims and I'm sat outside with my glass of champagne looking at a Dutch van, a German van, a Belgian van and a Swiss van. Good effort on non tolls and getting stuck in Lyons.

And Epernay has 2 places for us to get tested
We like mesnil st pere on the nearer lake to marueil closer to Troyes. We are off to Marueil Sur ay in the morning to visit champagne Billecart Salmon which someone recommended then down to Lac der Chanteqocfor a change of scenery. We might pass you on the way
I was looking at Camping Les rives du Lac, on the same lake but on the northern shore, is there a campsite you can recommend on the southern side?We like mesnil st pere on the nearer lake to marueil closer to Troyes.
I m trying to stay near to Paris and doing their perpherique as got on quite well with it on way down and going to try Amiens route on dual carriageways to Calais on sunday
I couldn't recommend anything campsite wise as I don't use them but we did pass guiffremont and the Aire looked as good as a campsite which is next door adjacent to lake. That was 10 years ago though and I wouldn't pay a Lenny (sic) when away for a month.I was looking at Camping Les rives du Lac, on the same lake but on the northern shore, is there a campsite you can recommend on the southern side?
Enjoy the peripherique, (it's only bad when it's bad), and the truck free Sunday
That van looks absolutely solid, like it’s able to withstand WW3. Also looks to be a 4x4. Blooming lovelyThis oldie has recently arrived, not sure what make it is. Obviously fully restored, looks fab.View attachment 536837
Aye and have you been back and visited your thread recently? - There's a civil war looming nowThe other thread is a few months old but still rumbling on.
Quick update for anyone interested. Leaving Ay-champagne we drove about 20mins up into the hills to Hautville, a really pretty village with lovely views. We then headed for the lake but decided the weather was too nice to continue driving and detoured to a little 5 van France passion champagne stop instead :-I couldn't recommend anything campsite wise as I don't use them but we did pass guiffremont and the Aire looked as good as a campsite which is next door adjacent to lake. On the other lake there is a campsite at mesnil st pere but there is a large car park next door loaded with motorhomes we have always found good enough. Believe it has facilities now
