mud flaps (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

just bought some mud flaps for the front of the van .... slide out step is suffering.

Flaps are marketed for Ducato/Boxer 2006 onwards however the holes in the arches don't match.
is this usual?

also, I drill new holes should I use red lead (red oxide primer) around the exposed metal before
attaching the flaps??
