I removed my non working Dometic air con last weekend and ordered the above rooflight to replace it.
When it arrived it appears to have permanent ventilation whereas the photo on sellers eBay site seems to show a rubber seal all around the dome. But it's not completely clear.
Can't contact seller he's not answering the phone so email sent.
My question is should I be concerned that permanent ventilation will be noisy when driving ?
Has anyone else found them noisy
It's a MPK vision star pro 400mm
Thanks

I wouldn't have one with permanent ventilation definitely not, its like a hurricane blowing through in the winter.

Always had MPK roof lights on my old van and replaced air con unit on my current van with a MPK, no wind blows through when shut at all.

I was going to put off fitting until I heard from the seller but I thought I'd offer it up to see how it fitted and next thing I knew it was job done !
I spoke to another seller and he said they are all the same with fixed ventilation.
Not sure why the one in the photo seems to have a full seal.
I will go for a test drive later and if it's noisy I'll see if I can get some rubber gasket to match. Annoyed that I have to though : (

Rooflights of whatever make, when closed have either a) no ventilation or b) fixed ventilation

a constructor will specify which is required to ensure that there is good ventilation and to ensure that condensation and gas from using an open flame (cooker hob) can escape. Whatever was OE fitted, replace with the same.

In our Hymer, all rooflights have fixed ventilation..
