We are off to Bella Vista after Xmas for a couple of months, taking a few box sets of casual viewing. Problem with the Augusta is the TV is in the bedroom and would prefer it to be lounge viewing. We normally swing the captain's chairs round in the cab area but I have toyed with the idea of putting a TV up that end mounted on the dashboard somehow? Has anyone had any success in this kind of fixture?

A number of Autotrails have a "drop down" monitor \ TV mounted above and between the cab seats. Can only really be viewed from seating behind the cab so we mounted a TV in the "lounge" area (rear beds in ours) and turn the cab seats around.

Can you put a mount in the bedroom so that it can be rotated out into the passageway viewable from the Captains chairs or is it too far away?

We had one that was on a drop-down hinge attached to the cab roof so we could watch from the dinette. It rattled and I kept hitting my head on it. It was deleted.

Have you got a wall behind the dinette then you can watch from the captin seats, thats what they do in most vans.

Fitting a TV, even a small one, would restrict your field of view through the windscreen.
A swing down from the cab roof/under bed would be best.

I've just found this one for sale - they seem to have mounted it onto the kitchen 'wall'

Yes that's what we've got, but it isn't optimum. it's halfway through the bedroom door and compromised on size and keeping the bedroom and kitchen separate.

I wasn't expecting to drive with it in place.
