Hi funsters I am looking to buy an RS ELYSIAN motorhome value £145000 but cant find an insurance company who will cover a motorhome of this price.I have a clean licence with no claims in the last 15 years and a member of IAM

Assuming you've tried the usual suspects as in Camping and Caravan Club or CC, depending on age, Saga,. Personally I go with a broker called Alan Blundell but there's loads on here that'll give you their views from the type of Moho you're considering
Is this the same RS that you talked about on the other thread only 20 minutes ago but 7000 dearer?

The caravan club use Devitts, the brokers, to source cover. For ours I spoke directly to an underwriter, needed upgraded alarm, tracker etc. At that value you need specialised advice I would have thought.

At that value, I doubt you will get insurance cover without upgrading both the alarm and tracker systems. I would also imagine they will be wanting strict storage requirements too. I speak from experience when we bought the Burstner and that was nowhere near the value you are talking about.
