Hi does anybody get motorway tags for EU & if so which is best, any advice is appreciated
Thanks

Don’t think there is a universal tag.
We have a French tag.
You unlikely to need 1 for Spain and many of the other eu countries run a vignette system. Which are not interchangeable.

Never had a problem with this service. Car is France tag only. Bus is France and Spain.

The tag we use for France is run by Emovis in the uk. Tags are well worth the reduction in stress for the pasenger provided you have already decided to use the peage system. In my view peage is worth it to avoid all the ups and downs thru the gears at the mini roundabouts and the risk of being caught out by the unversal 50km rule in villages. However some people prefer to meander.
Cheapest to apply via CAMC as then there is no application charge
Mike

Thanks I have a Vignette tor Switzerland, Which one do you have for France?
I use an ATMB one as only a small monthly charge in any month that you use it. Clear easy to read statements of tolls used. Direct monthly payment from my credit card should it be needed.

Recently cancelled Sanef/Bip & Drive (using two tags….. one for France, one for Spain/Portugal). After some research, I have moved to “Mango” which uses a single tag covering France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. There is no annual fee and only a small monthly fee for any month when used. Presently there is an offer with no upfront costs. Details at …… https://www.mango-mobilitesbyaprr.com/en/offres

I think the Mango tag will suit our needs. I have tried registering but it won't accept my bank account for payment (Nationwide) Seems strange as they don't seem to accept credit cards either.

It won’t accept my account either. Halifax.

I think that I might swop from ATMB and could try my Starling card on the euro wallet. We have had the ATMB tags for 5 years and havent used them for over 2 years and now wondering if they need replacing anyway. Anyone know how long the batteries last ?

This looks very useful, just applied and accepted. I too have an ATMB ticker which is great as it can be moved between vehicles. The Mango one is vehicle specific so I requested two.

Hi does amtb recognise you are class 2 as i saw on another forum people being charged as a higher class going through toll and had to press intercom to change it to class 2 but of course if going through tag u wldnt know until debited. Thanks

Hi does anyone know the official site to apply for the atmb tag. Iv googled but cant find anything other than forums. Thanks

I have a Mango (formerly APRR) tag and mine is not vehicle specific, unless you travel to Portugal. The registration number is easily changed online.

Good to know. They do ask for your reg when applying so I scrolled back up and changed the number of tags to 2, they then requested the second reg.

I used the Sanef tag. It seemed to have a weak signal because it wasn't recognised by the Peage when fixed at the top of the windscreen.

The only way that worked was waving the tag about which must have seemed very odd to any CCTV operator. Ze mad Rosbifs ..

If you have an overcab bed you should fit the tag at the bottom of the windscreen, this can affect the tag, happens to me occasionally 🤷

is there an app to download once registered? i just ordered 2 (1 for car and 1 for MH) as previously i have the sanef one which is 2 tags which i move from vehicle to vehicle, this will just be easier.

Starling registered ok but not Nationwide and they dont seem to charge you for the actual tags themselves like sanef do.

The Tag only needs to be seen by this device at the Toll Booth to make it work.
Clean your windscreen more often, young man ........

However this new mango tag is multi country so may be more flexible than ATMB which I think is just for France.

Thanks Annie. Mango wouldn’t accept Chase, but took First Direct. On its way, apparently. Much appreciated.
