Motorhoming YouTubers worth watching.

The Happy days never cease to entertain.
Liam has been driving about in snow, slipping and sliding, saying how terrified he got when it fishtailed then eventually he got stuck. What did he do? "For the first time he wanged it into 4wd" 🤣🤣🤣
They have found out what happens when it is very cold and you don’t heat your van adequately, your pee bottles freeze! They now have no means of making a hot drink or cleaning their teeth!

We stayed at that area in Zamora, very nice too. Gelves also, as you already know because you guessed it when reading my thread 😀

I'm interested in this, too. I tried watching a few but they take 30 minutes to say what could be said in 5!! I'd like to watch non-'influencers', real people who post videos because they MHing....not because they're getting paid to advertise stuff. Are there any around like that? I hopo so! :)
Try Kissies Adventures, especially the Spain trip, really enjoyed it as we were planning a similar trip and were also first timers.

OMG, These Happy Days have now decided that the demountable they had on order ISN'T the right van for them, so they've cancelled the order and are now looking at new vans AGAIN! I wonder how happy the company whose van they adapted and took to Scandinavia are about this...

I saw this last night but wasn't going to comment as they aren't worth bothering with, I only watched the first 10 mins so don't know how they ended up but if they can keep doing this just out of YouTube there must be some daft money about.

They ended up liking a coachbuilt without the “bells and whistles” to quote them. Can’t remember the make. But they veered from wanting storage and a garage (sensible as full timers) to being attracted to a van without because they like the internal appearance.

Doesn't really matter because they will wreck it or change it in a month or two.

They are getting ridiculous now. They say they ordered it but have cancelled, they also said they bought a 4x4 but god knows what's going on. Meanwhile they spent a fortune on mods for the loaned/hired one. So recently they had a car camper that name perfect sense a vw that they said "we've list the van" a 4x4 and demountable that was perfect as loads of people have them in the US. now they are shopping for panel vans. They looked at Roller team with the bed made up into a double and said it wasn't for them as it was a fixed bed. She never gets a say other than "oh it's a huge wardrobe " how can they go on blundering through life like this?

He's stuck on Fast Forward and drags her along with him!
I've mentioned before I've been places they have breezed in and out of (before their engine blowing up a few miles later) and even the people they were with, who I presumed were friends, say he never listens to advice.

We’ve just found this guy, travelling U.K. to Australia I thought he was a bit of a knob at first but bloody hell he knows how to get himself out of the shit he finds himself in, somewhere in Pakistan now👍

Well you can stick Afghanistan up where the sun don't shine as far as I'm concerned. You need very big balls to take on these sort of journeys. Not for me at 65 years old, but each to their own. I admire his confidence.

You need to start from the beginning, he does get himself in some scrapes but he’s well equipped to deal with them👍

Not sure if anyone’s mentioned St.Christopher of Alantis? They’re a nice husband and wife who do UK travels in their motorhome. Very dry sense of humour nothing sensationalist and no click bait nonsense.
Yes we like them, quite naturally funny but the videos are all getting a bit the same. It's difficult to keep that sort of channel going and still keep folk interested.

I think in the end you watch it for entertainment as a couple. Same with Campervibe, they’re renovating their Irish cottage and yet we still watch religiously!

I've just watched their latest vlog. They, Louise especially, are so hard working. One day they might get chance to renovate the cottage when the curveballs stop.

Bored of them and that cottage. The Mrs loves it, I just want motorhome/travelling vlogs and outdoor activity ones too.👍

Can anyone recommend a channel that focuses on the actual overnights anywhere in the UK or right across Europe, ie. where they stay, the look and feel of the place, the cost and any facilities as applicable? I’m just trying to get an idea of what I’ll find before I get there.

Most of the channels that I have checked out appear to focus on what they had to eat, what they encountered along the way and what their dogs are doing. I’m not being critical of that at all because clearly it would appear it is driven by market demand, it’s just not what I was hoping to find.

Yorkshire Pop Top Adventures does quite a few UK site reviews. He has a small van, but many of the sites would be fine for larger motorhomes too.
If you look at some older Camper Vibe videos they also review (2 minute tours!) quite a few sites in the UK and across Europe.

St Christopher of Atlantis.

I think most you tube offerings that were made before vloggers thought they were special and famous do offer info re aires and routes etc. they seem now to think that isnt what watchers want and concentrate instead on what they eat or or where they eat.

Don't worry too much about what you'll find, it really is simple, if it's full or 'not what you want/expected' just move on.

You will soon get the hang of it. If you give a brief idea if where you want go, which route and time of arrival in Europe, then I'm sure people will offer some ideas. The first night is bound to be a bit of an adventure so I would suggest trying to get settled in early afternoon if you can

There's a good YouTube channel made by a Spanish motorhoming couple.

Pista y manta

Each video is a place they're visiting. It is in Spanish (very understandable especially by the female half. Peavy would you be able to tell where she's from? They do put captions for all the buildings and parking areas. They have good info on the buildings and history but you need to understand Spanish for that, but the filming is good a d speaks for itself. They're presently posting about Portugal.

I could be wrong, but I would say she has an accent from Canarias, though is kind of a soft one, in my ears.

She's got a very different accent t to her partner. She uses s instead of the usual th we hear here.

I can understand her very well 🙂

Thanks for listening for me.

One I have just started watching, because they did 3 months in Europe, mostly in Spain, are called ‘Bertie Bus’
They are down to earth, and live full time in there motorhome with there dogs.

They won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I find them amusing.

They were on a THS with us in Bridlington last year. The lady knocked on our door asking if she could film our van for her YouTube channel, when I said I had no issues I quickly realised she wanted to film both inside and outside. I explained I was not into having the interior filmed. She muttered something and left. Both her and her husband never looked our way for the remainder of the stay. Some of the videos are not very complimentary towards THS Stewards who work for free. I don’t think they fully understand the make up of THS and was referring to them as Pop Up Sites on their videos. I did skip through a few of their videos, hence, I noticed the negative comments towards a few Stewards but would certainly say not my cup of tea and wouldn’t be watching again.
