Those who travel abroad may well recognise this description:

A 7.5 ton truck conversion, (but not really converted). Three wild dogs, a bunch of feral kids with a couple of 70s hippes in charge.. !!

This German registered truck pulled up beside us at Capbreton ...

However, this family turned out to be the friendliest we had met, the dogs were well behaved and the kids didn't run will ..
When we got friendly they told us they thought we were stuck upo snobs .. until they found out different.. when they left they gave us their address in Germany and said we would always be welcome to park at their home..

Moral of the story is don't pre judge....

Just goes to show, "never judge a book by it's cover.

In an earlier life we spent several years in a converted coach, we continually crossed the paths of vehicles like your new German friends, we still feel that we are the same people that we were back then (which we are,) when we went to our first RV/motorhome meet we were afraid that we would not be accepted as "one of them" but of course we got on well.
The thing is, we are all (well most of us) are united by our desire to travel, some a week at a time, some for "a season" and others fulltime.
BTW some that we have met on the road we were pleased to get away from, that is a Very good thing about the wheels under your home!!!

Hi Jim, I hope you don't think we are POSH :Rofl1: just because we wanted to take our shoes off, before we came in your RV:BigGrin: A week or so after we left you this came into the aire, it was right hand drive on French plates. We had to laugh at the big chain he put around the steps, maybe he has had them taken away before, its a long way down without them.:Rofl1: Thanks Bob.:thumb:[
