Yes, it is official.....

Suddenly being 50 is fashionable. Market researchers have grasped what we all knew. People who matter are fifty and determined to enjoy themselves - they're fun loving, free, wealthier than ever and they're living adventure-seeking lives. And one of the ways they've been enjoying themselves is aboard a motorhome.

Sales of motorhomes have leapt 65% in just three years with sales records broken every year. In 2004, nearly 8500 new vehicles were sold and even in this more consumer cautious year, sales so far are still up by 3% over the same time last year. Even the 'pre-loved' are changing hand fast too, with four more motorhomes changing hands for each new one.

And when they've bought them, they are using them. The two main clubs, The Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club, report record membership, massive use of travel services and site full signs.

The "live-life-to-the-full" generation is busy having fun. The use of motorhomes seems to know few boundaries - it's not just holidays or a wizard weekend.

You could arrange a hookup.
They'd never be late for school and could have all their friends in.
