Does anyone out there combine their Motorhoming with stays a Gites. We have tended to book Gites in the North west of France for accessibilty. Now we are getting a motorhome we intend to get a bit further. Does anyone out there ever do this?

Hi,
Do you mean booking a Gite to stay in and using the van as a means of transport ...or
stopping overnight at a Gite in your MH .. using it as a site ?

If the former, sorry, never done that .. can't see the point,

if the later, yes and no, these are vineyards and farms that have free overnight parking , not Gites, as already posted by Ian, the correct link is http://www.france-passion.com/

We have loved stays at Gites, Manoirs and French farmhouses over the years. One of the provisos on getting an MH was that it wouldn't be the only holiday we ever had (or no go) Have spent enough to get something decent and not so much that we couldn't do other stuff. Probably the wrong place to admit that here! The idea is book a gite etc for some of holiday eg week and have a number of stop-offs on the way there and on the way back so we got the best of both worlds. I guess not using the MH for part of the trip might be considered treason here.

not at all, thanks for clarifying .. I know others who use their MH to go to the south of France where they have a static caravan.. each to their own, there is no right or wrong way
