Welcome to Fun. We've had wonderful holidays near your neck of the woods :)

So the Landy is gone. But time for new adventures with a MH.

What do you plan to do with your van, when it arrives? Are you looking to ski, carry grandkids / children and do you have any layout requirements?

Still feeling envious of your location and ability to island hop. I'll get over it, slowly, until the next time that I have a wee dram and some haggis ....

Anyway, in my opinion, I wouldn't limit vehicle choices to berth numbers. You may find that there are some better 2 berth vans than 4 berth ones for £12,000.

I would suggest a panel van conversion (PVC) as they tend to be narrower, if you have the choice. I would also look at vehicles that are winterised (or could be winterised) so that you have more flexibility for getting out and about throughout the year (and skiing etc).

I would also look a dealers in England; I believe that prices tend to be cheaper than in Scotland due to supply. Some people have suggested coming down to Manchester / Sheffield for some of the better deals but don't have experience of this first hand.

Hello. What layout are you looking for? And do you have a particular make in mind? It's wise to go and haunt your local dealers. Try out vans, get a feel for what is out there in your price range. Good luck with your search. :pink:

for my max budget £12000..

You might not find a decent one at that price tomorrow but they are out there.

Edit:

Oh you did. Well done. Now there is quite a lot of good weather left in the year, get the tunnel booked and Hit The Road, Jock.
