I'm a newbie
Hi guys,

My husband and I are about to head off for 6 months in our new (old) motorhome. We want to get travel insurance in case one of us gets sick or any break ins. The companies I have spoken to all won't insure us when we say that we are going to be living in a motorhome rather than accommodation eg hotels/ hostels. Has anyone got any advice on this or companies to give a go?

Thanks!

I cant see why being in a motorhome should make a difference...
However with most of these travel / health policies you do need to check that they will cover you for the length you are away, most only do 30 days, some 90 days so you may need to get an amended policy.
Also,,, as noted by a fellow forum member. The policy may well state "a return ticket must be booked".. I always used to book a one way ferry crossing and get another a few days before we came back.. On the last trip I did ensure I had a return.. But next time I will get that point clarified before i book...
