Yes we did a couple of years ago. Not the nicest site we have stayed on but very convenient for bus to Porto. There is another smaller site not far away maybe a couple of streets away which is perhaps a bit nicer but sorry can't remember the name . I would stay again just for its convenience .

You may well prefer a campsite but are you aware of the free aire in Porto (we stayed July 2016)? It has a lovely view of the river and is walkable to the centre. No facilities though.

Hi Sussexlad, thank you, no we were not, we have pitched up along side the river on the tram side, and saw some parked across the river. Strange how there seem to be do few places to park up with any facilities.
The last 3 aire sites had no toilet, water or grey waste! Not even a public loo on vast stretches of promenade along the coast line! Strange. Legs and fingers crossed going forward.
