All you Show Goers

Being a newbie to MH I went to the Manchester Show at the weekend, displays of MHs were excellent, but I was disappointed with the Trade Stands ,my question is,is this the norm,I was expecting Security products.Fans,Spares, leisure equipment ect,

I'm thinking of going to the NEC, what are the Trade Stands like there, opposed to the Manchester Show

if they are the same I won't bother

Thanks

Some shows are pretty poor on accessories, NEC will be better BUT you do find the prices are more expensive due to the high trade stand costs I guess. Always remember saw a bike rack at £59 at an outdoor show.. Same dealer and bike rack £79 2 weeks later at NEC in October.

Peterborough in April is one of the best. Shows are great to look but to be honest once you know what you want if its not a show special deal then look online,.(y)

They charge £££££££ for stands but the bits and pieces make ppppp so just not worth it for the dealers.

Try ebay.

If you thought the Manchester show had excellent displays of Motorhomes wait till you see one of the NEC shows or Peterborough. They will blow your socks off by comparison!

We attend both the NEC shows as we have done for many years now. Trade stand costs are yes expensive however nothing we sell as I'm sure with a number of other companies goes up in price. If anything you will find with certain manufactures offer discounts at the larger NEC shows which we can pass onto customers.

However saying this, if you simply are looking for a soup maker or Wash brush as examples then im sure you will find it cheaper on Ebay!

Generally outdoor shows are becoming more of a rally setup and more traders are deciding not to attend them as the years go by.

JVB. is right, years ago, BE-B ( before E-Bay). You pretty much did all the shows to get an idea of what was available, and dealers took large parts of their stock. (the Brownhill`s location used to be massive!), now there is a lesser selection and you have to ask the various dealers have you got "X" layout on stock? as most dont take as much, just the more "popular" layouts, (big garages!) which if like me, you cannot climb a Mountain to get to bed, are useless. Having said that, I will likely go to Peterborough, but wont make the decision until I see the forecast & ground conditions!!!! (been there, done that, AND been towed off!).
