Well the motorhome is now two years old...

It has just been serviced for the second year (although Fiat says 48000km for the first service) we prefer every year....estimate price was 300 euros....just picked it up 383.53 euros :Eeek: ....

Estimate price plus VAT perhaps? Or service parts perhaps, oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter. They did change the pollen filter didn't they?

Our burstaner on fiat chassis 2.2 about 34000 miles on clock
Is up for its 5 year service next month
Whats a fair price for a service?

is the cam belt due to be changed? and would you change water pump at same time
Again any idea on cost?

It seems a short life for a belt and pump but compered to price of a rebuild engine

This year it wont do very much more running
But early next year it will be going down morroco and back plus a couple of uk runs in spring early summer
Thoughts please ladies and gents

Yes Dave..they did change the pollen filter...see the receipt below..the quote was for everything...but could be less it depended on if the pollen filter needed changing...I think it would have been better if he had said it would be closer to 400 euros and not 300 euros  :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

So why was it so much more than the estimated price? They don't appear to have done any extra work. Purely for reference we charge £135 inc VAT plus parts which typically add around £90 ish.

Service costs

This is frog hopper, I work in a garage near winchester, we charge £65 plus parts, fora service, we check all underneath, lubricate all parts needed, any grease nipples get done, locks hinges tyres, washers wipers . Always use good parts. Lights. If we find any thing we phone to check and give a price , won't give you a shock, after all lots of you know where I live:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
