Hi

This may seem a strange question but we have a 2 year old Chausson and since we have had it when the sun shine on the back the panels start banging and sounds like someone hitting the panel with their hand.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Thanks

Chris

Funny enough I have just mentioned this issue on the Hymer Owners F/B page.
Our Exis I588 really has expansion noises first thing in the morning when the sun is strong.👍

Is there any rubber in the solar panel mounting brackets? That would allow a little movement.

Not banging but on past and current van we do get some expansion noise as it heats up or cools down. Just something I have got used to, the wife never noticed.

Never experienced this but surely if the outer skin was bonded to the insulating inner part it shouldn't bang.

Our current Hymer makes creaks and small bangs in the morning sun around the back panel, never happened on previous Hymers with wooden internal walls. The internal aluminum walls appear to be more prone to it.

I remember this used to happen on a freestanding cooker I had in my kitchen years ago..alarming at first!
