I was wondering can existing owners suggest an insurance provider?

I seem to be struggling to get insurance because some just out right refused me. I have two quote 600-800 but the providers have mixed reviews. Making me reluctant to go with them.

Despite having a few accident in my polo I have never struggled to get insurance.

Perhaps the insurance companies don't know what a "citoren relay" is ?

If it's a self build, perhaps they bumped the premium up cos it's of unknown quality in terms of electrical and gas installations.

It’s possible that they just see it as a commercial vehicle. If it’s converted and the V5 has been changed then you can try some of the Motorhome Insurers. Some limit the number of miles and exclude travelling to and from work so you need to read the small print.

I purchased a van (Pug Boxer) & had it converted to my specification

Adrian Flux insured it as a 'van under conversion' for up to a 6 month period

Now converted, I pay less than £300 including European breakdown cover

Might be worth giving them a call
