Hi,

We're toying with the idea of hiring a motorhome in the US for a couple of weeks later this year (around end Sept/Oct).

Just the two of us, so don't need the whole 'Winnebago' experience, a regular European sized motorhome would be fine, and we'd arrange our own flights.

I'd appreciate any personal experiences of..

  • Companies used
  • Places visited
  • Good/bad experiences
  • Any 'gotcha's'

Cheers,

Glenn

Hi Glenn, You could try Cruise Americas web site http://www.cruiseamerica.com/

Haven't used them only suggested their sister company Cruise Canada to a friend.

Hope you have a very BIG cheque book Just priced on their site two weeks 30.09.13 to 15.10.13 pickup Orlando Florida a compact size RV $1635 + 1500 miles $510 then you have to add cost of fuel + cost of camp sites

And the compulsory welcome back, bedding pack etc. etc.

These guys wrote the book when it comes to "Tariff engineering" - some of the charges that some of the USA RV rental companies make would make even a lawyer blush.....

Quite late to book as there may not be availability.
