Rapido 986f
Hello Funstera. I have a Rapido 986f motorhome, A class 6.8m length, 2.3m wide and am considering buying a cover for when not using. Can anyone advise on where to be able to source. I’ve been looking on line and haven’t found the spec. Thanks.

They are generally not considered a good idea.
There's a high risk of damages to the paint and it can encourage damp through lack of ventilation

Another Don't.
It will also scratch the windows and it will reduce the amount you use because you will have the hassle of removing it each time.

Bought one with our 1st van and it was a right pain.I wouldn't bother unless you are right by the sea or park under trees/pigeons

I'm right by the sea easier to hose the van down every few weeks.

Thank you everyone for your advice against a cover. How about just a roof one? I do have trees near. Alternatively, are there places to go and be able to clean motorhome roofs yourself?

Twelve months and still learning.
To balance the picture, we use a ProTec cover on our PVC for the winter lay up. We live in a very exposed position with constant strong winds, a rookery within 50 metres and this time of year skeins of geese affected by severe diarrhoea.

We bless the day we bought it. It has never damaged paint or scratched windows, any condensation clears very quickly and we have suffered neither mildew or damp.

We wash the van and apply Collinite wax before fitting the cover.

We have no connection with ProTec other than as satisfied customers.

We have a Pro Tec cover used for several years , no scratching or condensation, will be putting it on again this year ,if you pay£50 for a cover you get what you pay for , Pro Tec have been making covers for forty years if they didn’t work they would have gone out of business by now
