Motorhome chillers

Hi all, I'm looking to buy a small portable air con unit or air cooler for my motorhome.
There's plenty out there with varying budgets so I'd like to ask the funsters if they have any opinions or experiences to share.
I've heard many positives and even more negatives about the usefulness of them so to say I'm confused is an understatement .

Basically, the cheaper evaporative coolers are junk!

The cool my camper options will work, right up to the proper roof mounted units.

Alas, you get what you pay for.

A fan built into one of the roof vents is very effective at drawing out warm air if you have the windows slightly open

We fitted a fiamma turbo vent in kitchen skylight whilst not aircon it keeps us cooler in mid 30 degree in south if france
