we have stayed at Caravan & camping club campsite which is within easy walking/cycling distance of \norwich & was very good but although it's on a river I'm not sure about canoeing?
I think there is something about needing a licence to use any sort of craft on rivers in Norfolk/suffolk?

Hi Frosty
Is there a river at morston ??
It looked like the sea to me from the map.
Anyhow as it's only a small village, you could base your search on Wells-next- the- sea just up the coast.
Wells has quite a few C/Ls listed under it in the CC handbook ,have'nt had time to look, but some could be near Morston.
Thro the summer the C&CC have some Temporary Holiday Sites in Wells. Good value and certainly not posh.
Also at Wells there is a big commercial site by the sea and almost on the river
These any good?
All the best

What sort of Kayaking are you looking to do?

I am in Norfolk and may be able to suggest suitable places.

Morston is on the coast and is surrounded by salt marsh but there is a river and creeks. Morston Quay is NT and you can easily park there with a m/home, there are lots of walks and you can get boat trips to see the seals on Blakeney point. Not sure how you go about kayaking don't know if you need permission. Blakeney is the nearest village of any size, if you look under Holt at caravan club CL sites there are a couple in or near Blakeney. It is a lovely place to visit hope you enjoy your stay wherever you camp.

Reedham Ferry is next to water.

We walked down the road and got the train into Norwich

Not sure if its kayak-able though as I went many years ago.

Ben

Edit: Yep looks ok

No extra charges for awnings, dingies, slipway, dogs, river fishing
