I have been organising weekly Motorcycle meetings for over 25 years .www.lincolnshirebikenights.com

On Wednesday 25th June 6pm onwards I have organised a motorcycle meeting at the

East Kirkby Aviation Center , south east of Lincoln, 53.140202, -0.002047 ( PE23 4DE )

This is the 9th year, I have organised this event, to raise money to keep and restore the Lancaster Bomber " Just Jayne ",:thumb:

Usually around 1800 Bikes attend, Classic, Vintage, Super Bikes, Cruisers, Trykes,Scooters etc. :Eeek:

The best bit is that, at 8 pm we start up the Lancaster Bomber " Just Jayne" ,

ALL 4 engines ! and it does aTaxi ride around the airfield ,

You can stand about 50 feet from the Lancaster , there is now where else that i know of that you can do this .:thumb:

If some Funsters would like to attend this event in your Motor Home ,
I have made arrangements for you to park over night if you wish in the car park ,
Ideal if you are going on to the coast or across to Misterton on the Thursday .

The cost is £5 per van this includes going into the center to look at the Museum , Hangers, visit the excellent NAFFI , etc

(Pleases have a look at their web site, http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/ )

Also my Lincolnshire Bike Nights web site
www.lincolnshirebikenights.com

Graham

P.S. it is not far from RAF Coningsby the Battle of Britain airfield and near to Woodhall Spa
where the Aircrews met up in the Petwood Hotel ( Bomber Room still as it was ,)
Camping across the road at the council run site with swimming pool ,
Jubilee Park Outdoor Swimming Pool Stixwould Road
Woodhall Spa, LN10 6QH ( 53.155559, -0.222112 ) http://jubileeparkwoodhallspa.co.uk/

The Law of Sod strikes again.

At 8pm that same night I am running a music session just up the road in Louth, otherwise we would be there. I could delegate, but it wouldn't really be the right thing to do.

Have a great night. :thumb:

The Real star.

But for me, a non biker, this was the star of the show and the sole reason for our visit to a great museum....... go visit, it has something for all generations particularly in this 70th anniversary year.

Thanks Bryan

i have organised this event for 9 years now and the bikers have raised thousands of pounds to help get the Lancaster more air worthy and to keep it running for generations to come ,

On the first one i organised my Father went onboard for the start up and it was the first time he had been in Lancater with the engines running since he was 20 years old , :thumb:
